I have my B.A. in Social Work from Goshen College (2004) and my M.A. in Social Work from the University of Chicago (2007).  I have completed Core Skills training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and am working towards certification.   I earned my certificate in Veterinary Social Work (VSW-CP) at the University of Tennessee.

I have worked in Cambodia as a social work trainer, consultant, and researcher as well as a therapist.  Most recently I have worked at Jewish Child and Family Services as a therapist at the community counseling center, and also have experience working in domestic violence and sexual assault agencies here in Chicago.  I’ve been a supervisor and field liaison for the social work students at the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture.  I was the Clinician Program Leader for Canine Therapy Corps program at Haymarket House for several years.  I currently have a private practice here in Chicago where I provide individual & couples therapy as well as veterinary social work services.
